Familiarity is a point of pride at this neighborhood oasis of hospitality and home-cooking. Here at the corner of 24th Street and Spruce Avenue, there’s no standing on ceremony, no matter your station in life. We like the salmon cakes. And the pecan waffle. And the friendly service.

A real treat at this Greenacres landmark is their Almond Joy Pancakes. They
load the batter with chocolate chips, then top the finished ‘cakes with more choco chips, chocolate syrup, slivered almonds and coconuts. It’s like starting your day with a triple-layer cake.

Berry Fresh Cafe
There are so many breakfast choices at Berry Fresh, and they’re not your standard diner fare. The Bananas & Blueberries Foster French Toast, for example, is a caloric house of cards built upon challah bread stuffed with cream cheese, then decorated with bananas and blueberries sautéed in butter, brown sugar, cinnamon and dark rum. Yum. The Lemon Ricotta Pancakes are mixed with fresh lemon and ricotta cheese, then dusted with powdered sugar and topped with whipped cream. The O.M.G. Shrimp-N-Grits are made with heavy cream and finished with cheddar cheese, bacon crumbles, tomato and three kinds of peppers.

Caffe Luna Rosa
This oceanfront café has a dual personality: It’s a relaxed spot for hearty breakfast and brunch. But it’s also an upscale Italian café, serving robust classics. Whether you come for brunch or dinner, the food is memorable – and the view exquisite.
