When it comes to chain restaurants, if ever there was a great American moveable feast, unmarred from city to city, it’s Cheesecake Factory.
Maybe this is why the national chain was named the top casual dining restaurant in the country, according to a comprehensive consumer survey by the trade publication Nation’s Restaurant News.
It may be a corporate conjuring, an overly generic concept with a menu that’s noncommittal to any one cuisine or style, but it works despite all of that. Or maybe because of all of that.
